Fiona finished A Levels knowing she wanted to study construction at higher education level, but was unsure what to specialise in. A HNC in Construction Management meant she could get high level skills whilst deciding, and not only did she find her specialty but she found a job as a result and is now completing a full degree.
After Jo left school he started work in the construction industry and whilst he enjoyed it, he didn’t have any clear career progression. Jo enrolled on a level 3 construction management course at the college, and then continued onto a HNC in construction. He is now close to promotion in work and will be completing a full degree at university which will take him one step closer to fulfilling his career goals.
Joe signed up to a business level two course in 2009 after struggling to find work. He worked his way up through the courses provided by the college from
Level 2 to HND, where he was awarded a distinction grade. Joe is now at university on a top-up course to turn his HND into an honours degree.
