South & City College Birmingham couldn’t be more proud of our award-winning Dyslexia Tutor, Tina Birring.
Tina was nominated in two categories at the 2022 Dyslexia Awards which were: Exceptional Educator and Learning Support Award. On 24th September, Tina attended the Black Tie Awards ceremony in Shropshire and went on to win the Learning Support Award!
Based at our Digbeth campus, Tina has provided dyslexia support to hundreds of students at South and City College Birmingham during the last 17 years and was recognised for her empathetic support and understanding of dyslexic students and helping them to succeed.
Tina said: “I am extremely proud and honoured to have won this award, knowing that the support I provide my learners makes a difference to them in their lives and helps them to progress and succeed. This means a lot to me”
The Dyslexia Awards is a wonderful event that shines with positivity, helping to celebrate dyslexic people and those who support them.
Having already hit the highs this year by performing as part of a dance group at the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, Tina is clearly on a roll. Well done Tina!
