This part-time Level 4 AAT accounting qualification is delivered from our Digbeth campus and is ideal for adults looking to enhance their accounting skills or those already working in finance and looking for formal recognition of skills. It's also suitable for those progressing from Level 3 AAT (or equivalent) aspiring to full AAT membership (MAAT) or chartered accountant status. It caters to those interested in starting their own business through the AAT licensed member in practice scheme (MIP).
The AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting includes advanced accounting and finance topics as well as a range of optional specialist units. You'll acquire skills in drafting financial statements for limited companies, recommending accounting system strategies, and presenting complex management accounting reports.
You will need a Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) and GCSE English and maths Grade 4 or above, or equivalent.
You must already be working in Accounting or have a voluntary work placement or relevant experience in the Financial Industry to cope with the demands of the course.
Successfully completing this qualification allows application for AAT full membership (MAAT), and if you're thinking of starting your own practice, you'll be able to apply to become an AAT Licensed Accountant or Bookkeeper. Potential job roles include: accounts payable and expenses supervisor, tax supervisor, vat accountant, payments and billing manager, commercial analyst, cost accountant, assistant financial accountant, payroll manager and senior finance officer.
