The course is very practical and you will have the opportunity to develop your music production techniques through sequencing and production work in one of our Mac sequencing suites and 2 of the 3 professional recording studios. Our recording studios are built to a high standard containing Audient, Soundcraft, Yamaha and Behringer professional analogue and digital mixing consoles, Logic X and Cubase software on iMacs and a large array of industry standard microphones. Live sound techniques are taught in our 350-seat auditorium (The Crossing), operating Midas Pro 2 and Avid Profile consoles and 64-track Pro Tools recording. This is a 2 year programme and you will need to pass both years to obtain the full qualification. Our impressive auditorium hosts many performances throughout the year, not only from college students but also visiting performers, such as award-winning artist Tom Walker. Music production students will have the opportunity to provide the sound for these performances and you can attend performances from visiting artists.
