About the course

Study Music Production at our Longbridge campus and you will become a part of a very exciting and new way to deliver music education – you will work for our record label COGNITO MUSIC. Your course will be delivered in a very practical and vocational context in working for the label within the job you are most focused on in the music industry. This is a 2 year programme and you will need to pass both years to obtain the full qualification. Over 70% of those who come to view our music facilities end up studying with us. We have outstanding success rates on Level 3 Music Production, all teaching in music is good with outstanding features. What do I need?

You will need: A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, two of which must be maths and English Language. BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Music Industry Skills (Merit or Distinction) together with a Grade 4 in maths and English. All applicants must have a good reference.

Where can I progress next?

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas are valued by employers and higher education (universities and colleges). You can go into careers such as music management, teaching, performance and production. If you decide to go to university or college, you could take a degree or a BTEC Higher National in subjects such as: music, popular music, music technology or music management.
