If you have an analytical mind and like working with computers, technology and statistics Data science could be the career for you. The aim of this course is to provide a broad knowledge base for students interested in continuing their education in Data Science. The course is delivered through a combination of lectures, practical experiments and self-directed learning. It is assessed via a combination of coursework and controlled examinations. The Access to HE Diploma is made up of 45 graded credits and 15 ungraded credits (Skills for Learning). You need to complete all 60 credits in order to pass the course. You are advised to contact universities prior to applying to check their specific entry requirements. All students attend weekly tutorials which are designed to assist with study skills, confidence building and applying for university.

You are required to have a GCSE at grade C or above in both maths and English/English Language. Selection is on the basis of an interview and completing an initial assessment.
