Studying this Level 2 course, you will be introduced to the world of construction at our dedicated training facility based in the Bordesley Green Campus. Our centre comprises of full-scale workshops, where you will be taught by qualified, experienced staff that have all had industry based experience within their vocational areas. They will guide and assist you in your learning and help you to fully understand the particulars of this profession. State of the art workshops, equipped with professional quality tools, means that you will be learning in an environment which simulates a real-life building site. You will be continuously assessed throughout the course, this will involve both practical and theoretical aspects to enable you to complete unit assessments online and practical assessments at the end of each unit. 16-19 year old learners are also required to attend English and maths lessons, either as a Functional Skill or GCSE, unless they are exempt and have previously attained a GCSE grade 4 and above. They are also required to attend tutorial sessions, which provides a full learning experience and contributes to the Study Programme Framework.

Completion of the Diploma Level 1 in Plastering and have some prior site experience where you will need to demonstrate your skill level/knowledge at an interview. If you are 16-19 years old have not achieved your maths and English to GCSE Grade 4, you will study for these alongside this course.
You could go on to study the Diploma in Plastering Level 3, or find employment as a plasterer.
