These will include drawing, painting, printing, textiles, and photography. You will learn about different artists and how they generate ideas based around personally selected themes, using this knowledge to inform your own ideas. As the course progresses you will create, present, and review your own artworks.

We have an extremely well-established art department, with highly experienced and specialised teaching staff. We welcome all students who have an interest in the subject and would like to learn more in a friendly and welcoming learning environment.

You will also learn about watercolour and acrylic painting, a variety of printmaking techniques, textiles, and photographic techniques. You will be introduced to a variety of historical and more contemporary artists, which will help to inform and inspire your own work. Delivery of the course is predominantly workshop based, with regular demonstrations and one-to-one support.
