About the course

This one-year Level 3 Plumbing course is suitable for recent school-leavers as well as adults who are looking to work as plumbers in the building services engineering sector. Plumbers install water and heating systems in buildings and fix rainwater guttering. Plumbers cut, bend, join weld and fix pipes and sheets made from metals and plastics.

This course will provide you with knowledge on legislation, tightness testing, pipework requirements and ventilation. These skills will help improve your competency as a plumber, giving you the option to study another course or look for employment.

What are the entry requirements?

You'll need a Diploma in Plumbing Level 2, literacy and numeracy at Level 3. You’ll be initially assessed at an interview.

Where can I progress next?

You could progress onto a higher education course such as an HND or HNC qualification, or find employment in the plumbing trade. You could take a short course to become Gas Safe registered or concentrate on green technology.
