About the course

You will learn to use the basic tools of digital graphics software, analyse and compare computer and video games and understand digital video editing and animation. This is a one year course, which will help develop a range of important industry-relevant skills, techniques and understanding, required to progress in the creative media industry and for the production of games. This course will guide you through all the stages of games production including researching, comparing and analysing current games, story writing, character and design level design, through to 2D and 3D animation, 3D modelling and games engines. You will also find out about the jobs and career paths within the industry. You will learn in the heart of Birmingham’s creative district of Digbeth and have the chance to get involved in exciting projects and work experience opportunities both within the college and for external organisations.

What do I need?
