Access to HE Diploma courses are a one year, Level 3 programme of study and are designed to prepare students for study at university. They are aimed at people who would like to study at degree level, but who left school without the usual qualifications, such as A Levels. Many Access to HE students go on to succeed at university and beyond, with a large number of students pursuing new careers in a variety of subjects. At the end of the year, students go on to university to study a range of computing degrees or diplomas including BSc (Hons) Computer Science, BSc (Hons) Computer Networks and Security, BSc Computer Games Technology.
You will take modules in the following subjects:
• Advanced mathematics
•Systems analysis and design
• Computer Systems
• Networking and Security
• Python. Skills for learning.
You are required to have Grade 4 / C or above in both maths and English/English language. Selection is on the basis of an interview and completing an initial assessment. On successful completion of this programme, you will be able to apply to universities offering diplomas and degree courses in Computing, or computing related degree courses.
