A-Level Graphics is an exciting addition to the A-level programme for learners who wish to study creative subjects. It is ideal if you are seeking to pursue a career in design or the creative industry.
The course allows you to develop graphic communication techniques across a wide variety of study. Learners will develop knowledge of advertising and branding, typography, illustration and typography. Using industry software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, learners will experiment with a variety of graphic communication techniques and develop analytical and critical skills.
The course consists of: Component 1: Personal investigation – a portfolio or investigative project based on subject matter that have personal significance and a complementary written assessment alongside images.
Component 2: An externally set stimulus is used to create a project of personal work with set preparatory study periods and is created within focused study workshops.
5 GCSE grades A-C including grade 5 in English language and maths. All applicants must have a good reference
Progress onto Higher Education, Apprenticeships, Foundation Diploma in Art & Design or Employment.
