Pre Entry English ESOL for Job Seekers
Overview
This is a course for job seekers who are beginners with the English language.
If you are interested in the course you must be referred to the college by your Work Coach at the Job Centre.

Course description
This course has been developed with Job Centres to help meet the needs of job seekers who have a language barrier. The course focuses on English in the context of employment to help you move towards getting a job.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and with health and safety of our students as a priority, we have redesigned this course to include a mixture of classroom-based and online learning.
What areas will I study?
Beginner English with a focus on progressing to employment:
- Speaking skills - asking questions, phoning for information, talking in an interview
- Listening skills - answering questions face-to-face and on the phone
- Reading skills - finding information, following a timetable, reading a map
- Writing skills - filling in application forms, writing lists
