Overview

Gaining a recognised qualification in maths is a requirement for many jobs. You will work on improving your skills and confidence in using numbers in everyday life and work towards gaining a Functional Skills qualification in maths.

Course description

You will focus on the core mathematical skills needed to enable you to progress towards a qualification at an appropriate level for you. We offer Functional Skills qualifications, where appropriate, at level E3 and Level 1.

If you are not able to attend a course at the college, or you want to study independently to improve your Maths or English alongside your college course, you can study FREE with the Open University and gain an OU Statement of Participation. Bring your Statement along to college if you then want to complete a qualification in Functional Skills.
