IT and Digital Skills for Adults for the Workplace
This 18 week course will equip you with the essential software and IT skills needed for today's workplace and business environment in every industrial area.
It is offered at two campuses twice a year, running from September to end January and then from February until the end of June and will consist of eight hours a week of study, with a blend of on-site classroom learning as well as online delivery.
If you already have a very basic level of IT, this course builds on those existing skills. You may already have a Level 1 ITQ qualification and want to progress further. You will increase your skills and knowledge with popular software applications used in every organisation, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access which will provide you with the assets you need in today's workplaces.
As well as essentials like more advanced use of Word and email, you will learn software skills in two very key areas, spreadsheets and databases which will give you the edge when you are applying for jobs or becoming self employed. You will also learn the basics or website creation which is a great asset to take to an employer who wishes to promote their business.
