Level 2 Technical Diploma in Data Management
IT support is vital to ensuring that organisation's digital products, services and systems work effectively and they need a talented workforce with the technical skills to maintain this and compete in today’s rapidly changing digital landcape.
This qualification has been developed in consultation with employers in the IT sector and will enable you to develop the skills and knowledge to give you the best opportunity to be successful in applying for work.
This course will be delivered through blended learning, a combination of you studying online and attending college for workshops and face-to-face delivery in small groups.
This qualification is for learners who want to start a career in digital technology. It is an ideal qualification for learners intending to progress directly to employment in digital technology, IT or to an IT apprenticeship or further technical study at Level 3.
All the content of the qualification is mandatory and relates directly to the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected by employers in the IT sector.
In this qualification, there are two external assessments, which take the form of a task that allows learners to apply their skills and knowledge in context to a realistic work-based activity, and an onscreen test that includes a variety of onscreen question types that allows learners to apply their knowledge to several work-related contexts.
Units 1, 2, 6 and 9 are assessed through internal assessment. Internal assessment allows learners to apply technical knowledge and demonstrate mastery of practical and technical skills through realistic tasks and activities.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and with health and safety of our students as a priority, we have redesigned this course to include a mixture of classroom-based and online learning.
