Business Administration OCR
This qualification recognises learners' understanding of complex administrative functions and activities. It accredits learners' abilities to carry out a comprehensive range of non-routine administrative tasks in a senior or supervisory role and has been designed to accredit their achievements in a modern, practical way that is relevant to the work context.
The aims of this qualification is to give candidates the opportunity to develop their:
- knowledge and understanding of a range of complex administrative functions and activities
- skills to work effectively and carry out a range of complex administrative tasks and activities in a business environment, to the standard required by business.
These qualifications have been developed so they are free from any barriers that restrict access or progression and therefore promote equal opportunities.
What areas will I study?
Students will study the following: Mandatory units (Total Credits 8): Producing complex business documents Understanding functions and roles within business organisations
In addition students will undertake both level 2 and level 3 units.
Level 2 Units (Total credits 10): Organising business travel and accommodation Organise meetings Handling diary systems
Level 3 Units (Total Credits 19): Supporting recruitment and selection Verbal communication in business Support business meetings Legislation affecting organisations Working in an administration team
