The advanced apprenticeship route into Early Years is for those who know this is their career choice. It's more than an introduction and apprentices will have previous learning in Early Years.

Course description

An Advanced Apprenticeship in Early Years is for those who have some previous experience in either working or learning in Early Years. At Level 3 you will have a greater responsibility for the safeguarding of children and will be the key worker for a group of children. As part of this role, you will be responsible for the development and education of children and for feeding back written reports to parents and carers. You will be responsible for contributing to the child's key areas of development at certain ages.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need English and maths GCSE grade 4 or above, and a successful interview with an employer.

Where can I progress to next?

On successful completion of this Apprenticeship you could gain permanent employment in areas such as nursery, childminding or teaching, or move onto a higher level Early Years course or Foundation degree.
