Summary

This two year course is perfect if you would like to work in early years education and care. You will learn about children from birth to age five and gain an understanding of children's emotional well-being, the legislative framework and professional practice. On completion of this course, you will be able to enter the workforce as an Early Years Educator or continue your studies in Higher Education.

Description

As part of the course, you will undertake practical placements. These are an important part of your learning and will form an integral part of the assessment process. To achieve this qualification you will need to pass all units, and complete externally set and marked assignments.

Entry Criteria

You will need four GCSEs grade at at least grade 4, including English Language and maths.

What Next

You could progress on to higher education, this qualification has up to 420 UCAS points attached to it. You could progress into various jobs such as a practitioner in a day nursery or nursery school.
