Course description

Learn how to protect your personal data and privacy online and in social media, and further your understanding why more and more IT jobs require cyber security awareness and understanding.

Almost every business has a website and external systems that can provide criminals with entry points into internal networks. Hackers have a lot to gain from successful data breaches, and there are many examples of coordinated cyber-attacks against some of the largest companies in the UK. Even Deloitte, the globe’s largest cybersecurity consultant, was itself rocked by an attack in October 2017.

So it is no surpirse that the demand for cyber security experts has grown 3 times faster than any other IT job role, and training a cyber security workforce is a priority of many governments. From confidential company data to personal information, more connections make data more vulnerable to attacks, increasing the demand for professionals with cyber security skills.
