Summary

This electrical course is a level 3 QCF qualification & suitable for people who are already qualified as installation electricians, electrical technicians or engineers. It is essentially an Inspection & Testing course, covering initial verification and 3 phase inspection and testing.

Description

This qualification is ideal for contractors already working in industry but needing to up-skill their initial / fundamental inspection & testing. All candidates should have basic knowledge of electrical science and experience of electrical installation.

Candidates can use their own instruments, providing they bring in a current calibration certificate. The assessment consists of a series of practical assessments and an online exam. Candidates will require a calculator, pen, notebook and a copy of BS 7671 and Guidance Note 3 (2015).

Entry Criteria

You must be qualified to level 3 in electrical installation and hold City & Guilds 17th Edition to enrol for this course.

What Next

This course will enable you to progress onto Periodic Inspection and Testing.
