Summary

This course is designed for those who wish to understand the basics of electrical installation. It is also suitable for those wishing to change careers, to puruse a career in electrical installation.

Description

The course consists of a number of units which assess your competence and ablity over a wide range of activites. There will be a focus on health and safety and correct working practices. The course also focuses on a number of specialist topics designed to introduce you to the electrical industry. These include, but are not exclusive to, electrical theory, constructing PVC wiring, systems and joining and threading conduit.

You will be taught largley around practical sessions in our electrical installation workshop.

Students on the day mode of attendance will also be offered vocational English and mathematics sessions to improve their skills in these subjects to prepare them for progressing onto the next level of study.

Entry Criteria

There are no formal entry requirements; however you will have an interview and initial assessment.

What Next

Depending on performance on this course, students may progress to the 7202 Level 1 Diploma or 2365 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations.
