South & City College Birmingham recommends a range of free Open University online courses in 'Everyday English' and 'Everyday maths'.
These FREE online courses will enable you to improve your current knowledge and gain additional skills. The topics are based upon skills you use in everyday life and you'll learn at a pace that suits you. Complete the free OpenLearn online course(s) and receive an Open University badge which can be added to your employment profile and your CV.
When you are ready, enrol with SCCB to prepare for a Functional Skills qualification in maths or English at Level 1 or Level 2 - sit the exam at college.
