ESOL Study Programme for Young People
This course is perfect for young people who need to learn English. At South & City College Birmingham we have courses from complete beginner level to Level 1. You will improve your skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening as well as improving your maths. You will also develop basic IT, numeracy and employability skills. You will complete qualifications in ESOL speaking and listening or functional skills in English, maths and IT.

You will practise using English for writing notes, filling in forms, making phone calls, speaking to groups of people, reading text and listening for information. You will also study maths and basic IT.
You will learn about applying for jobs, developing work skills and working in a team. There will be a study programme with a range of activities to help you learn the skills needed for employment, and to develop your team working skills and the knowledge you need for life in the UK.
This course runs at a variety of levels and students take qualifications from Pre Entry Level up to Level 1. There are a number of courses running at different centres including a women only class and centre.
