Access to Higher Education (Nursing) Online
This course is designed for students who want to access university and have been away from studying for some time. It is the equivalent of three A Levels, completed in 9 months, making it a very intensive programme.
You will study skills for learning, social science (sociology/psychology), health studies and biology.
“Courses, such as the access to higher education programmes, have been developed to match local healthcare sector needs.” Ofsted, 2018
This course is designed for students with experience in the Health and Care sector who do not have a sufficient level 3 qualification to allow them to progress to university. You will need 60 credits in order to pass the course.
You are advised to contact universities prior to applying, to check that you will be considered for your chosen degree on completion of the course and some universities require specific unit combinations.
