L2 Award in End of Life Care
This qualification provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of different perspectives of death and dying, and the impact it has on individuals. It covers the aims and principles of end of life care, communication factors and how to access a range of support services in end of life care.
This course is delivered as a blended qualification which is a mixture of online learning and tutor support workshops
It is appropriate for adults who have already achieved a Level 2 qualification in health and social care and for adults who are looking to develop their knowledge in this area or are looking to become employed in healthcare. This could include workers in hospices, care homes, care in the community and primary care. As a taster qualification it can also be used as CPD across all levels.
It also is a good introductory course for those who are looking to become employed in healthcare settings. This makes it ideal for anyone who may need an understanding of this subject even though they are not directly involved in the care of individuals.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and with health and safety of our students as a priority, we have redesigned this course to include a mixture of classroom-based and online learning.
