Food and Beverage Service Supervision Advanced Diploma
By undertaking this Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Supervision of Food & Beverage Services qualification, you will gain the skills and techniques required to supervise a team, manage hospitality events and deliver a high level of service to guests/customers.
During this course you will have opportunity to complete work experience in our professional catering outlets; our dedicated Street take-away and Karibunis, our fine dining restaurant. The restaurant opens every Thursday evening, with themed evenings as well as Michelin rated service. You must wear a restaurant uniform and all information will be given to you at an interview. As a supervisor you will be running the front of house restaurant services
In addition you will also learn the skills to become a talented Barista which is becoming one of the new highly skilled professions in the industry and on the high street. Another part of the job which is becoming more and more expected in the industry is mixologist; you will learn to create and mix cocktails in order for you to have a wider set of employability skills.
South & City College student again won front of house gold award January 2020 along with silver awards for cocktails and coffee making. We also won bronze awards for cocktail and coffee making along with napkin folding, in a competition we compete in annually against other colleges and in total our students won 25 awards in January 2020.

A mandatory part of the course is work experience and employer engagement so you will have the advantage of being able to gain practical experience during the course. If you do not already have a part-time job in the industry, you will be expected to complete this mandatory element during the academic year.
