Childcare and Education Diploma
This qualification enables students to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work with children from birth to five years old in a range of Early Years settings and provides a comprehensive understanding of children's education and care. It will provide you with a licence to practice and the status of an Early Years Educator.

There are lots of opportunities for Level 3 practitioners in the Early Years workforce and you could go on to University to courses that include Teacher Training.
You will be taught by tutors who have occupational experience of the Early Years sector at campuses that have good transport links.
The qualification is made up of a number units divided across two years. In addition to the internally marked units you will have an assessment under controlled conditions in both the first and second years.
You will also complete 2 days each week in work placement, where you will be supported by a qualified professional and an assessor who will assess your occupational competency in the work place. You will complete a DBS application supported by the placement officer.
