Summary

This two year course will give you the advanced IT skills and the key functions needed for a career in the industry. You will be developing your skills in computing and programming, information systems, website production, e-commerce and more.

Description

The course is run in two parts. In your first year, you will study for a 90 credit diploma and if successful you can progress onto the full Extended Diploma. Overall this course is equivalent to 3 A levels and you will complete 18 units on different topics. You will be taught by tutors who have years of experience and will bring together theory and practice so that you are able to develop high-level skills and knowledge. Industry visits and work experience will help you to expand your learning, and to understand how to apply what you learn to a range of business sectors.

You can seek employment in the IT industry. You could also progress to a higher education, a foundation degree or HND in Computing at this college.

Entry Criteria

You'll need 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including maths and English, or a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject, ideally with a distinction or merit grade including maths and English. You will be required to attend an interview.
