Overview

This qualification builds on the fundamental principles of computing to give insight into how computers and devices communicate. With the rapid growth of cloud technology and the growing pressure on cyber-security, this programme offers students an opportunity to develop skills. This 2-year Extended Diploma will develop your knowledge and skills in computer science, computer systems and software design, and social media in business, enabling you to progress to further study in the computing or creative computing sectors. This qualification is for learners who are interested in progressing to higher education. You will develop a common core of computing knowledge and study areas such as programming, managing support systems, systems analysis and design.

This qualification is equivalent to 3 A Levels, carries UCAS points and meets admission requirements to many relevant HE courses.
