Overview

This is a brand new course for 2019/20.

This is a 2 year course incorporating all the basic principles of computing, networks and software applications PLUS the chance to learn how to build a robot and understand the exciting development of AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Artificial Intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.

Course description

You will investigate some of the ways robotics are used within industry as well as how robotics and artificial intelligence could be used in the future.

You will learn a general range of computing skills to give a solid foundation to aid your progression to a Level 3 course.
