This learning programme qualification is based upon IMI Sector Skills Council's National Occupational Standards for Maintenance and Repair - Motorcycle route.

This qualification is for school and college leavers who wish to join the automotive industry and individuals (who are not employed in the industry) who want the opportunity to develop occupational knowledge and carry out practical tasks. In addition it is also ideal for employees of the industry who are seeking to enhance and/or demonstrate their understanding of their work role.
This qualification offers an ideal step to the vocational competence qualification for those who are employed, and wish to continue with their studies.
As part of your program you may be expected to do English and maths.

Diagnosis and Rectification of Motorcycle Electrical Faults (AE06MC K) Motorcycle Preparation and Inspections (MC05K) Diagnosis and Rectification of Motorcycle Engine Faults (MC07K) Diagnosis and Rectification of Motorcycle Chassis System Faults (MC08K)
Diagnosis and Rectification of Motorcycle Transmission and Driveline Faults (MC12K)
Where possible work experience opportunities will be arranged for you.
You will need 3 GCSEs at grades C and above including maths and English or successful completion of IMI Level 2 Diploma with Functional Skills in English and maths.
Students who successfully complete this programme will be able to apply for our HNC in Automotive Diagnostics and Management Principles.
