Overview

The music industry has never been so exciting. There are so many opportunities and many different avenues that you can work in music – and you don’t have to play an instrument to have a career in music. Everything from working on live music events and festivals, working for a record label, being an artist manager through to working in recording studios, producing music and releasing your own tracks on streaming sites. The possibilities are endless and more importantly, the course will be about what you want to focus on.

Course description

Study Music Production at our Longbridge campus (Bournville College) and you become a part of a very exciting and new way to deliver music education – you will work for our record label COGNITO MUSIC. Your course will be delivered in a very practical and vocational context in working for the label within the job you are most focused on in the music industry. This is a 2 year programme and you will need to pass both years to obtain the full qualification.

Over 70% of those who come to view our music facilities end up studying with us. We have outstanding success rates on Level 3 Music Production, all teaching in music is good with outstanding features.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and with health and safety of our students as a priority, we have redesigned this course to include a mixture of classroom-based and online learning.
