The course is an introduction into the plumbing industry, and is intended for those who want to gain basic skills and knowledge in order to gain entry into the plumbing and building services engineering industry.
This course is a great introduction into what is a quickly expanding industry, with great employment prospects and the ability to earn a good salary. On the Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing you will learn about pipe bending, basic plumbing systems, compliance with water regulations, drainage and health & safety in the workplace.
Depending on prior skills and qualifications some 16-18 learners will undertake the Level 1 Introduction to Plumbing and Construction Skills before doing the full Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing Studies in order to ensure that they can build a foundation of knowledge and skills. The January start courses are a Level 1 Introduction to Plumbing and Construction Skills.
This course if for 16-18 year olds only.
As part of your programme of study (16-18 years old only) you will study maths and English alongside your vocational qualification.
