Then this could be just the course for you!

There are not many careers that could see you travel the globe. Many travel and tourism jobs come with some pretty cool advantages, staff members could well get to experience their employer’s product or service for free or at heavily discounted rates.

This Level 3 course will focus on the different businesses and opportunities available in the forever growing travel and tourism industry. It will enable students to gain a qualification and experience that will support employment into the industry or continue to specialise at degree level.

Course description

This is a vocational course that will provide you with an understanding of the different aspects and businesses within the travel and tourism industry. You will learn about the world of tourism and gain an insight and understanding of all the different areas that you could work in. You will have the opportunity to experience some of the local and national tourism destinations and attractions to support your coursework. This course will fully prepare you for a career in this exciting industry.

Course opportunities include UK day visits, industry workshops and a residential trip (UK or overseas), as well as industry work experience opportunities, such as the Holiday Inn Hotel Takeover.

Previous students have gained employment at Birmingham Airport, Jet2, ThinkTank Birmingham, UK Borderforce, Clayton Hotels and Hilton Hotel Group.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and with health and safety of our students as a priority, we have redesigned this course to include a mixture of classroom-based and online learning.
