• Want to take your Business to the next level and not sure where to start?
  • Thinking about taking on an apprentice?
  • Need work experience candidates to support your staff and your community?
  • Want to learn more about how your local college can support you?

The Business Elevator is here to help you!

South and City College Birmingham have partnered with Solihull College and BMet to support small to medium sized local employers and micro businesses through an ESF funded project – The Business Elevator.

We want you to have your say and to find out more about you, the challenges you face and how we can support you with a bespoke range of services including:

  • Training services
  • Apprenticeship and recruitment services
  • Business mentoring
  • Networking opportunities
  • Work experience or placements
  • Other support services

We will undertake a comprehensive, no obligation training needs analysis to fully understand your business requirements and match you with suitable recruitment and training and services or try to find ways to develop your workforce by designing new programmes or preparing students to work in your industry.

Thanks to our partnership with Solihull and BMet we will be able to find the right service for you – so if we don’t have the right programme, we know someone who does! The service is provided free of charge but you must be a small to medium sized employer or micro business (between 1 and 249 employees), located in Birmingham or Solihull with a balance sheet of less than £36m and a turnover of less than £42m.

The information you give us will allow us to design future programmes to better prepare students for working in your industry, find you better apprenticeship candidates and support your business to maximise its potential.

We will also be able to provide you information about training services, work placements, apprenticeships and other local offers such as the InBusiness network at South and City College Birmingham.

Our dedicated SME Advisor or one of our Business Consultants will arrange to meet you and guide you through the process of finding the right service for you.
