Long-time friend and ambassador of the college, Kashmir Gill popularly known as Kash “The Flash”, is a British former four-time world champion professional kickboxer.

He came to the college’s Hall Green campus to give a workshop to pre-16 students about his background growing up in Handsworth, what it took to become a world champion kickboxer at the age of 21 and how he managed to stay out of trouble in a time when the area was suffering from high unemployment and racial tensions.

Kash described the workshop as, “A very good session with good engagement from the students.”

The college gives its thanks to Kash for his ongoing support of students and we look forward to welcoming him on campus again soon.
