On the 16th May, South & City College fashion students put on their annual fashion show finale to showcase their year’s work.
Students from Level 1 to Level 5 presented their innovative collections on the catwalk at the College, Digbeth campus.
Students were given briefs to inspire their creations: from modern art and world culture, to the changing skyline of Birmingham.
There were two performances; the matinee for pupils from local schools, with over a hundred attending and the evening show was for the public, friends and family.
As ever, the show was a roaring success and enjoyed by all.
Eileen Simons, Head of School for Art, Design and Fashion said, "Every year I sit and watch the show and I am amazed by the standard of work that the students produce. I am proud that our show this year represented all of the levels taught within the fashion department, which showcased a range of talents. Many parents and visitors commented on how this was the best show yet!”
Eileen added, “I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the many students and staff from other subject areas, Media, Photography and Music Tech, without whom, this flagship event could not be delivered to such a high standard.”
We wish all of the students progressing with us and moving on to their future ventures every success in the future. We can't wait to see what they produce next in their fashion career!
