From 9th May – 15th May, South & City College will be recognising Mental Health Awareness Week across its campuses & you’re invited!
For those who don’t know, May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time where the world shines a light on mental health and encourages us all to have healthy conversations about how we can improve our wellbeing and support our friends and loved ones when they need it most. This year’s theme is about loneliness and how it affects us at one time or another.
The world is in a constant state of change and for some of us, this has led to less access to loved ones, seeing people face-to-face, as meetings and appointments move to digital platforms, and hybrid working leading to less meaningful ways to build connections with colleagues and classmates.
That’s why this week at college, we are asking everyone to come together and connect at South & City College’s Wellbeing Festival!
We know many of our students are currently preparing for their upcoming summer exams. This period can be stressful, daunting, and a little overwhelming, which is why we will be offering a variety of activities across each of our campuses throughout the week so that plans can be made around classes, revision schedules, and other commitments.
Want to get involved? Check out the schedule below and see what is happening at each campus throughout next week.
We are ENCOURAGING you to visit other campuses if you’d like to get involved on a different day! We’d love all our students and staff to take advantage of the week ahead to get some much-needed rest and relaxation time, as well as having time to focus on themselves.
Be sure to tag us on social media with any photos/videos from the week – we would love to see them! #SouthandCityCollege #DoMore #SCCB
