Stephen McAuliffe is the Deputy Registrar for the University of Nottingham, operating across campuses in the UK, China and Malaysia. He leads the work around student experience, education administration, policy (including govt policy) and regulation covering QAA, OfS, Ofsted and CMA/OIA compliance. He also supports the Registrar as his deputy. A major focus at the moment are around developing systems and processes across a student record system project and leading the student life work on the development of a new campus in the city centre of Nottingham. He worked previously at the University of Birmingham as Academic Registrar and before that at the University of Essex as Academic Registrar. He has served as the Chair of the Academic Registrar's Council, a national body that has members from almost every University in the UK and shares practice on education administration and student experience. He started his career as a Student Union President and holds BA (Hons), MSc and MBA qualifications and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and also of the Leadership Foundation.
