During the Global Day of Action in Preparation for COP26 – a rally was held in Birmingham on Saturday 6th November 12pm-4pm. South & City College Birmingham students worked in conjunction with Northfield Arts Forum, Breathe & CHI Unlimited to document the demonstration outside Millennium Point and the march into Birmingham city centre.
Danielle Parker of CHI Unlimited acknowledged the contribution made by students on the day. “I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the work South and City students did at the COP26 Coalition rally and march.” She added, “All the students were incredibly professional, enthusiastic and engaged throughout the assignment and I am looking forward to seeing the images and footage after editing”.
The students are currently editing to produce a short promotional video containing snippets of the photos, footage and interviews conducted on the day, along with other members of the COP26 Birmingham coalition.
Placement officer Jeff Lewis supported students on the day and stated that the students were a credit to the college and themselves with the manner in which they conducted themselves.
A special thanks from the college goes to Danielle from Chi Unlimited who supported students on the day. South and City College Birmingham students will be engaged in ongoing projects with Chi Unlimited and Northfield Arts Forum after creating a positive and lasting impression.
