Web Developers are in demand. Both for in house and client services. Websites are now the single most effective method for sales, information and communication and having an effective website is the difference in how well an organisation succeeds, especially in our current environment.

Course description

You'll learn front-end and back-end coding through practical projects and gain official certifications, together with building your own portfolio, just as you would in industry.

The programme will teach the skills and languages for front-end development which is the client side programming and includes everything the end user sees and interacts with. You will also learn the languages and skills for back-end development, which deals with server side logic powering websites and apps from behind the scenes. It includes all the code needed to build out the database, server, and applications to make a website work.

This course gives an intensive foundation in all these areas and will enable you to apply for front-end, back-end and full-stack developer jobs.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and with health and safety of our students as a priority, we have redesigned this course to include a mixture of classroom-based and online learning.

What areas will I study?

Programme modules include:

  • HTML - writing and editing HTML code for the structuring and CSS and JavaScript for the formatting and styling of web content.

  • Other languages for website development include Python, PHP, C# and Java, all with different functions.

  • You will learn through project based assignments based on briefs, just as you would in the workplace.
