Our unique Level 2 Two-Year Mechanical Engineering programme is designed to support you in achieving a Level 2 qualification in Engineering by embedding a Skills Development and Employability programme into your Engineering course. From day 1 we'll begin preparing you, not just with the technical knowledge required by the industry, but also with the additional skills employers expect from their employees.
The Level 2 Two-Year Mechanical Engineering programme provides you with a broad engineering education that covers a wide range of Mechanical Engineering subjects.
You will experience an interactive way of learning. Practical and experimental classes offer you hands-on experience to complement your course's more theoretical modules, while innovative design-build-test projects replace the more traditional lesson and workshop sessions.
What areas will I study?
In addition to the core Mechanical Engineering topics, units covered include:
- The engineering world
- Investigating an engineered product
- Health and safety in engineering
- Engineering materials
- Interpreting and using engineering information
- Mathematics for engineering
- Engineering design
- Engineering assembly
- Introduction to communications for engineering
The Skills Development and Employability programme will develop your organisational skills, time-management and team-working skills in addition to the many more skills employers seek in the engineering sector.
What are the entry requirements?
