Course description

This course is for learners working at Entry level in maths. It is an ideal course for those who need to improve on one or more skills in numeracy and maths, with essential topics being covered.

What areas will I study?

Key areas of study include:

  • Using numbers in everyday life
  • Handling data
  • Using a calculator
  • Measure, shape and space

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to be working at Entry Level 1 or above in maths and have a good understanding of English. The college will check what level you are working at currently.

If appropriate you will have the opportunity to take a qualification in maths.

Where can I progress to next?

On completion of this course you may choose to progress into a job or continue building on the skills you've learnt by studying a further education course.
