Overview

This course give you a broad introduction to the construction industry including a number of trades such as carpentry, joinery, painting and decorating. You will learn the basics and work towards a multiskilled qualification allowing you to progress in the area that interested you the most.

Course description

This course will give you an ideal grounding in general construction and how each trade contributes to the completion of a successful project. Our experienced tutors will help you to develop your learning and skills, so that you can become competent in a range of subjects. This course is practical and work related, and you will study units and projects that reflect this. This will be supplemented with industry visits and potential work experience placements that will help with developing knowledge and practical application of skills.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and with health and safety of our students as a priority, we have redesigned this course to include a mixture of classroom-based and online learning.
