This course allows you to study for a range of GCSE level qualifications in one academic year. This would suit learners who need to have GCSE's in order to progress onto the next level of study but have not yet achieved the required grades.


We have a range of different pathways to follow depending on your career choices. All programmes include GCSE English and maths. Science Pathway - ideal for students who wish to study science at A level Business, Art and Media Pathway - for the more creative students

Key Areas

On this course you will study the 5 key subjects at GCSE level. This will give you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills. You will also have the opportunity to take part in field trips relevant to your study and participate in enrichment opportunities. All elements of this course are mandatory. You must be willing to study all 5 subjects, if you already have a C / grade 4 in one of the subjects we will help you to choose another option.

All Pathways include GCSE English and maths Science Pathway GCSE Combined Science Trilogy GCSE Psychology

Other Pathways, along with English and maths; you will choose 3 subjects from the following: GCSE Business GCSE History GCSE Art GCSE Media GCSE Biology GCSE Citizenship

Entry Criteria

A good standard of English and maths is required to be enrolled on this course; if you have previously studied GCSE we would expect that you have achieved a grade 3 in both English and maths.

Please note that you will also be assessed before enrolment to ensure you are ready for this level of study. You will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to your studies by completing homework on a regular basis and have good attendance and punctuality.

What Next

A good range of GCSEs are essential for higher level study. This can include AS-Levels and BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas. Good GCSE Grades are also required for some BTEC Level 2 Diplomas, apprenticeships and training courses. Employers also recognise the value of these qualifications.
