Overview

This course is designed to introduce the IT sector whilst at the same time improve your English language and maths skills.

Course description

ESOL with IT will help you to build your confidence and develop your personal skills. You will improve your basic skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will work on the skills you need to get a job or to move onto a vocational course to prepare for employment. You will also develop basic IT and employability skills.

This course will give you a solid foundation in the principles of IT such as spreadsheets and word processing, and provides an excellent basis from where you can develop your knowledge and skills.

English language will be taught for 6 hours per week and maths will be for 3 hours each week. The course is a great starting point for learners who are interested in furthering their studies in IT.

The tutors have years of experience and they bring together theory and practice, so that you are able to develop high-level skills and knowledge. Industry visits and work experience opportunities will help you expand your learning, and to understand how to apply what you learn to a range of business sectors.
