This fun and exciting course is ideal if you are seeking a career in the media industry and/or progression to higher education. The course allows you to explore a wide range of media subjects and to gain practical and theoretical knowledge of the concepts and processes involved.
You will experience working in video and sound production. You will also learn and develop a broad range of media skills and understanding of the production processes involved in the media products you will create. Media concepts, audience research and industry investigation support the practical areas of the course, which will allow you to make realistic media products such as, short films and television adverts.
The course is designed to provide you with opportunities to understand and analyse the professional practice found in media, through practical assignments. Work will include group activities in video and audio production and individual activities through radio and photography.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need four GCSEs grade 3 or above including GCSE English language. All applicants must have a good reference and a keen interest in the subject area.
Where can I progress to next?
You can progress onto Creative Media Production BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma or an Apprenticeship.
