Catering students from South and City College Birmingham delighted the guest of honour at this year’s mayor-making ceremony.

Councillor Yvonne Mosquito was appointed Birmingham’s First Citizen in a glittering ceremony at the Council House last week. Our students were invited to take part in the hospitality service at the banquet that followed.

‘The students were a credit to us, they worked really hard but also enjoyed themselves. We received very good feedback and a standing ovation instigated by Lord Mayor. She commented that the food was beautiful.’ Kate Keating, Head of Catering and Hospitality at South and City College said.

The seven students who took part study catering and hospitality courses at Levels 2 and 3 at Bournville College. To find out more about the courses on offer, visit https://www.sccb.ac.uk/courses/hospitality-catering
